What Happened to Nebula Genomics?

Nebula Genomics' original consumer service has been replaced by DNA Complete, a membership product from the same parent company, ProPhase Labs. The nebula.org website now redirects to dnacomplete.com, and the old Nebula dashboard, research reports and download pages have changed.

If you sequenced your genome with Nebula, your 30x whole genome data is still some of the most valuable health data you own. You don't have to buy a new membership to keep using it: NutraHacker analyzes the CRAM or BAM file you already have.

Rescue Your Nebula Data Before You Need It

  • Already downloaded your files? Your CRAM, BAM and VCF files are still fully usable. Keep them somewhere you control, such as an external drive or your own cloud storage.
  • Never downloaded them? Try signing in at dnacomplete.com, or contact DNA Complete support and ask for your raw CRAM or BAM file.
  • Know which file matters. The CRAM or BAM (tens of gigabytes) holds your complete genome. The VCF is much smaller and only lists preselected positions.
  • Skip the index files. Files ending in .crai or .bai are indexes, not your genome.

Can I upload my Nebula Genomics data to NutraHacker?
Yes. NutraHacker accepts the 30x whole genome sequencing CRAM or BAM file from Nebula Genomics or DNA Complete. Paste the direct download link of your CRAM or BAM file into the WGS upload page and we process it for you.
Which Nebula file do I need: CRAM, BAM, VCF or FASTQ?
NutraHacker needs the CRAM or BAM file, which contains your complete genome. The VCF file only lists preselected variant positions and is not enough for whole genome analysis. Do not upload the small index files ending in .crai or .bai.
Is my Nebula Genomics data still available?
If you downloaded your CRAM, BAM or VCF files while your Nebula account was active, those files are still fully usable. If you did not, try signing in at dnacomplete.com or contact DNA Complete support and ask for your raw CRAM or BAM file. Keep a copy somewhere you control.
Do I need a DNA Complete membership to use NutraHacker?
No. NutraHacker is completely independent. Once you have your CRAM or BAM file, uploading it is free and you get a free Detox and Methylation Report. Additional WGS reports are one-time purchases with no subscription.
How long does it take to analyze my Nebula whole genome data?
Whole genome files are large, so processing takes about 4 to 6 hours on average. You receive an email when your free Detox and Methylation Report is ready, and the rest of the WGS reports become available in the NutraHacker Store.
Is NutraHacker safe for my genome data?
Your genetic data is processed securely on AWS infrastructure, and NutraHacker never sells or shares your raw DNA data with third parties. There is no membership to cancel and your purchased reports remain yours.
